The company has now appointed an administrator who has been emailing all of the PAs to remind us about sign in sheets etc. Now this may not seem like a positive but it has helped me as I have a shocking memory sometimes.
It does fill me with positivity as making the jump to the company meant making a jump to becoming self employed, something that I have never done before and something that I was worried wouldn’t work leaving me and my family in a difficult position. However there seems to be some positive changes coming in to place which makes me believe that the company is serious about building relationships with local authorities and their clients to make sure they stay someone that people will want to employ.
Here is to positivity, something that is not always easy to come by.
Breaking The Cycle have been delivering sessions to support our pastoral PSHCE programme for over 3 years. Their sessions are extremely informative, edifying and engaging, which with the lower year groups is essential to peak their interest. I have found their staff professional and experienced within a variety of fields which further enhances their delivery of emotive issues during sessions. I would recommend BTC to any school that wanted to enhance their PSHE provision and provide the students with sessions that break down difficult and sensitive issues, in order to improve student understanding.
Another PSHE sessions yesterday, this time at Ratcliffe college with the year 7’s exploring what emotional health is – what it looks like and how it feels. We spoke about negative experiences things that can influence our emotional health – bullying, peer pressure and ways that we can improve our emotional health by learning coping strategies – speaking to a teacher, listening to music, sports ect.
Another great day today with my client and another good day in a messy world of their mental health.
My client was great shopping today, they understood the benefit of not spending at a secondhand shop and actually budgeted their funds really well to get an array of food. They chose to think before throwing it in to the trolly, which for many seems such a small thing to do but for my client it is another big step.
I spent the day working with my Client sort their bills and putting up shelving to allow them to create a cleaner and more organised living room. On arrival they had cleaned as promised and they seemed so enthused to continue to make their property feel more like home. It is so great to seem them focusing on positive things and controlling their demons.
Arriving to see my client in such a dark place was not the best feeling but with some distractions and some fresh air we soon saw a spark of light and a smile. It was a difficult day where I had to be on my A game but when you can impact someones life in a positive way it really gives you purpose as a PA. Fingers crossed my time with the client will keep them up until our next visit.

We have spent many hours creating the right website to allow you to understand what we do, why we do it and how to engage as a potential client, employee or someone who is looking to make a referral on behalf of someone else.
